It was a landslide of a victory in the House of Commons yesterday regarding the passing of the 2nd Reading of Bill C-273 (The Right to Repair Bill).
Bill C-273 passed through 2nd reading and into the Committee stage with an astounding 247 – 18 in favor to against count! This is an important milestone. The passage of a Private Member’s Bill to Committee is a rare occurrence.
The 10,000 letters sent to MPs re-affirms the consumer’s resolve to rally and to request that a permanent, binding solution be found for the Right to Repair.
Without our collective efforts to send in letters, to place telephone calls and to participate in meetings, the Bill would most certainly not have risen to the attention of Parliament as quickly and as forcefully as it did. MPs from every party now recognize that the Right to Repair impacts the entire driving public. Thank you all for your tremendous efforts.

Thank you to all of you. Yesterday proved what can be accomplished by having all of us work together whether we represent a shop, association, supplier, or consumer. Our voices are being heard so now is the time to stand up for our rights.
